Personal Profile - Founder Alexandra Yung

Alexandra Yung is one of the few, if not the only brand consultants in Asia today who looks at the complete spectrum of a brand from the business side as well as the marketing and design side. The brand strategy and the soul of the business have to be defined before it can be reflected in a visual brand identity.

Alexandra calls forth the essence and spirit of a brand, which is often buried deep inside us. She understands that a brand is born in the heart, not just the mind; in fact, it permeates the entire being of a person, product or organization. Alexandra has "visions" of how a brand should be and is able to connect with its soul, enabling her to replicate the energetic imprint of a brand visually and symbolically, aligning with its defined strategy and brand promise.

Born in Scotland, Alexandra was educated in Hong Kong, England, Switzerland, and the United States. She earned her BFA in Graphic Design from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles and mentored under industry giants such as April Greiman and Lou Danzinger

In 1991, Alexandra opened her own Los Angeles agency. Because of its personal approach, Yung and the Restless became a popular boutique with the Asian business community and with Hollywood .

As a pioneer in the onset of the Internet industry in 1995, Alexandra became the Creative Director of DBZ and helped them build one of the first new media studios in Hong Kong . At the time when only a few people had email, Alexandra was already designing websites for major companies. This began a series of projects that was to serve as the vanguard for multimedia design in Asia . For example, at Asia Online, her creative branding and packaging of their online product was instrumental in securing an investment of US$50 million from Softbank. At the Web Connection, she directed the development of a record number of award-winning sites and increased her group billing 400%, enabling them to go public under the China.com Group.

In 1999, Alexandra became the SVP of Creative Services of LINE, and re-branded Hutchison's subsidiaries LINE, HPH and all of its ports around the world.

On 1.1.2002, Alexandra founded Creasians. Under her leadership, Creasians has established integrated branding solutions for a diverse range of clients and industries including: Harbin , a city in Northern China, bottled mineral water from Tibet , holistic essential oils from the UK , hotels & resorts in Asia, a professional voice coach in Singapore , and 3 young Hong Kong entertainment artistes.
